• AUDIENCE: Interior Designers, Architects, Specifiers, Facility Managers, Real Estate Professionals, Students & other Essential Industry Members catering to the built environment. Attendees are primarily from the country's Southwest region, with most coming from Texas and Oklahoma.
• EXPO: 250+ Exhibitors in 41,500-sf featuring products and services catering to the corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, multifamily, residential, and retail design markets.
• CONFERENCE: Keynote Speaker, CEUs & Panel Discussions catering to multiple practice sectors; Seminars geared toward non-practitioners; Programs focused on Students & Recent Graduates.

ASID TGCC Student Application Process:

To All ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Student Members:

The ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter (ASID TGCC) is again encouraging student participation in the upcoming Metrocon 2017 Expo and Conference.  The experience gained by participating in this expo and conference is one that all design students would greatly benefit.  Last year was the second year our chapter took students to Metrocon and the students, as well as designers and underwriters attending, thought the experience was priceless.

Our chapter is in the process of selecting students to participate in Metrocon 2017, which will be held in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Market Hall. The dates for the expo and conference are August 10-11, 2017.  (We will leave the morning of Thursday, August 10 and return the evening of Friday, August 11).  Space is limited!! The entire cost of the trip will be covered including overnight hotel stay, transportation, food, & regular conference costs.

The local student application process will be completed by filling out an application and submitting it to Crystal Reeves, ASID, Metrocon Committee Chair. (Her contact information is on the application.)  The applications will be reviewed by our chapter’s Metrocon Committee and acceptance will be based on application information provided. The final acceptance of this year’s participants will be announced as described below.  

Only ASID members are eligible to attend, however, if you are not currently a member and would like to join, sign up through the national website at www.asid.org and let us know your status on the application.

Please note:  Do not register directly with www.metrocon.info - ASID TGCC will only pay for members registered through our ASID TGCC application process.  Students must attend all events with ASID TGCC.
