CANDIDATE STATEMENT

After years of serving as a member, chair and now director for ASID TXGC, I realize the commitment that is required to make a difference in the organization. I have found that our diverse group of members have different perspectives and goals within this organization, their careers and their communities. I am open and receptive to the ideas of a fair and diverse board of individuals, and I hope with their involvement we can execute those ideas within in our organization.

I also believe that serving as president elect, and later president, in our chapter will be a great opportunity to improve my leadership and organization skills to better serve ASID TXGC and perhaps my own career.

I was mentored as a student member by a number of leaders within our chapter and I hope to provide the same guidance and leadership to other members, as I once experienced.
